This is another recipe from my grandmother. It's special ingredients are cornflakes, oats, and coconut. Great for parties and holidays as well as just munching on. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 cups flour |
2 cups corn flakes |
2 cups oats |
1 cup coconut |
salt, just a pinch |
nuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugars. 2. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. 3. Stir in dry ingrdients. 4. Add cornflakes, oats and coconut. 5. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet. 6. Makes about 5-6 doz. 7. 2 1/2 cookies. 8. Bake at 325 degrees for 8-12 min. 9. (Until light brown). |
