I've had this in my recipe files for a long time. We love cream cheese pie!! Ingredients:
4 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind |
1 prepared graham cracker pie crust |
1 cup sour cream |
3 1/2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine filling ingredients and beat until light and frothy. 2. Pour into graham cracker crust and bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. 3. Remove from oven and cool 5 minutes. 4. Combine topping ingredients, and pour topping over pie. 5. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer. Cool and place in refrigerator for approximately 5 hours (if you can wait that long). 6. Optional: When pie is cool, put a can of red pie cherries or pie blueberries, or fresh strawberries, etc on top. |
