Can't make any other recipe than this one. Are a crispier cookie than Toll House. Ingredients:
2 cups sifted flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed |
2 eggs |
1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Sift flour once, measure, add soda and salt. Sift again. 2. Cream shortening, adding sugars gradually. Cream until light and fluffy. 3. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. 4. Add flour in two parts and mix well. 5. Add chocolate chips, vanilla, and nuts. Mix well. 6. Drop from a teaspoon on an ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart. 7. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
