This is a recipe that I got from my late Mother-in-laws' collection.. I have not tried to make it myself but since it's the holiday season I thought I would post it.. I've made quite a few of her recipes and they have all been good. Read more .. Ingredients:
2/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed |
1 nuts finely chopped, your choice of kinds, (walnuts or pecans are good) |
2 cups flour |
2/3 cups melted butter |

2 8oz cream cheese ( 1 lb ) |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
4 tbsp. milk |
2 teasp. vanilla |
2 tbsp. lemon juice |
Directions:
1. crust: 2. mix brown sugar, nuts , and flour in large bowl 3. add butter. mix by hand until light and crumbly 4. take 1 cup out for the topping 5. press remaining mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan 6. bake at 350' for 12-15 mins 7. filling: 8. beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. 9. Beat eggs, milk, vanilla, and lemon juice 10. fold egg mixture into the cheese mixture 11. pour cheese mixture onto the crust. top with the remaining cup of crust mixture 12. bake 350' for 25 mins 13. cool. cut into small squares and store in the refrigerator |
