This is my mom's recipe for her delicious brownies. Yummy! Ingredients:
2 c sugar |
1 1/2 c flour |
1/3 c cocoa |
1 1/2 tsp salt |
1 tsp baking powder |
1 c oil ( vegetable ) |
4 eggs |
2 tbsp light corn syrup |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 c chopped nuts |
use your favorite chocolate icing recipe to frost brownies |
Directions:
1. Mix all of the dry ingredients together. 2. Mix together oil, eggs, corn syrup and vanilla. 3. Add to dry ingredients. 4. Fold in nuts. 5. Spread in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan ( I put baking paper down first and then spread mix into the pan ). 6. Bake 25-27 minutes ( again cooking time will vary based on your oven ) in a 350 degrees oven ( 160 degrees regular oven or 140 degrees in a forced fan oven here in Australia ). 7. Brownies are done when a toothpick is inserted in the middle and it comes out clean. 8. Cool and frost with your favorite chocolate icing :o) 9. Enjoy! |
