This makes an excellent sweet and tangy broccoli salad for your family . Your kids will even eat it!!! Big hit at pot lucks and special occasions. There will be no leftovers.
Ingredients:
5 cups steamed brocoli
1/2 red onion, sliced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and chopped
1 cup raisins or dried cherries
walnuts or sunflower seeds (optional)
dressing
1 cup hellman's mayonaise
2 tablespoons vinegar
6 tablespoons sugar (or splenda)
Directions:
1. Mix salad ingredients well, chill in refrigerator for one hour.
2. Combine dressing ingredients.
3. Mix well.
4. Pour over salad.
5. Chill and Serve.
