Mom's Broccoli Casserole

I have always loved mom's broccoli casserole, I haven't had another that can stand up to her recipe.
Ingredients:
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 egg, beaten
1 cup mayonnaise
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup velveeta cheese, grated
salt
Directions:
1. Cook & drain broccoli & chopped onion in microwave with a pinch of salt in a covered baking dish.
2. Combine condensed soup, beaten egg, and mayo.
3. Pour mixture over broccoli.
4. Cook in microwave (covered) until egg is throughly cooked (approximately 3-4 minutes on high, stir, and repeat).
5. Add grated cheese to top and microwave until all cheese is melted.
