Mom's Breakfast Casserole |

A Christmas tradition in our household! Super easy to make and can be made up to 2 days in advance. Ingredients:
6 -8 slices sandwich bread |
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
2 cups milk |
8 -10 eggs |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell's cream of mushroom soup |
12 ounces roll breakfast sausage (i use jimmy dean's hot for extra flavor) |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Place bread at bottom of greased glass baking dish. 2. Break up sausage into bite-size pieces & cook in pan. 3. While sausage is cooking, mix eggs & milk in bowl. 4. After sausage is done, add it to the milk & egg mixture. 5. Pour mixture over bread. 6. Cover mixture in pan with cheese. 7. Top off with soup. 8. Put in oven at 325 degrees in glass dish for about 35-40 minutes or until egg has risen and edges are bubbly (you'll know it's not done if the dish jiggles). |
