This recipe contains a secret that will produce a high, soft chocolate chip cookie. By dissolving the baking soda in warm milk, you increase the height of the cookie while insuring that it will be soft and not dry out. And not having to mix the dry ingredients separately means there will be one less dish to wash! Be sure to gently melt the butter in a double boiler or the microwave on low. Divine! Ingredients:
1 cup butter, melted gently |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 eggs |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 teaspoons milk, hot |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 cups flour |
1 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Cream butter and sugars. 3. Beat in eggs. 4. Stir in vanilla. 5. Dissolve soda in milk in a small dish. 6. Add to batter with salt. 7. Stir in flour. 8. Add chocolate chips. 9. Bake for 10 minutes. |
