The kind I love most Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can tomato puree |
2 (15 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 (8 ounce) can hunts tomato sauce |
1/4 cup red wine |
2 tablespoons sugar |
3 tablespoons garlic, minced |
1/4 cup canola oil |
1 tablespoon parsley |
1 tablespoon oregano |
1 tablespoon basil |
3 slices pepperoni |
Directions:
1. Put oil in bottom of saucepan. Add minced garlic. Brown garlic in oil. 2. Add all canned tomato products. 3. Mix in about 2 tablespoons of sugar. 4. Sprinkle parsley, oregano and basil evenly to coat top. Stir. 5. Add chunks of pepperoni to add flavor. 6. Top off with a splash of table wine. 7. Let simmer, stirring often. 8. The longer it simmers, the better it tastes. |
