light fluffy pancakes like grandma(Momma) use to make.. Ingredients:
dry |
2c. flour |
2t. baking soda |
1t. cream of tartar |
2t. sugar |
mix/sift these well. |
wet |
2eggs |
1 1/2c+. milk (depends on how thin/thick you like batter.) |
1/2 c. oil/melted butter |
mix well together. |
Directions:
1. Add wet stuff to dry and mix umtil everything is moistened. Then WALK AWAY!! 2. Leave set for 10-15 mins. 3. Preheat griddle. 4. With paper towel smear around the cooking medium (oil,butter shortening..) 5. Pour batter by 1/3C's I do 4 at a time on my small griddle..8 on a large griddle. 6. Cook until edges are dry and top is covered with holes..flip..cook until golden brown. 7. if wanting blueberries..add after pouring on griddle..right on top press lightly into place.. 8. Cook as usual..flip & finish.. 9. Yeild: 12 pancakes. |
