Ingredients:
1 -1 half lbs of lean ground hambuger or ground chuck
1 bag of nacho cheese doritos
1 bag of tortilla chips
1 bag of salad (salad express mix) is great in it , just get one has mixture of carrots and purple lettuce, makes a difference.
1 vidalia onion
1 fresh tomato
1 pckg of kraft chedder shredded cheese
1 pckg taco seasoning
1 box 12 oz. new orleans style (zatarain's) jambalaya mix
1 container of refridgerated sour cream
1 jar of red gold medium flavored salsa
Directions:
1. In skillet brown beef hamburger, drain off grease . set aside.
2. clean skillet, add 2cups water, turn stovetop to medium high add zatarains bring to boil unti rice mixture is tender stage..Add hamburger and taco seasoning , cook 4 minutes...., turn stove down to medium low and add chopped onion, chopped tomato, stir until thickens. set aside..
3. Take and empty half of doritos and a half of tortilla chips in a big bowl to crunch up into small crunched pieces, preferably your nacho serving bowl, Take your hamburger mixture and pour over chips, empty remaining salsa on this, add your lettuce mix and as much shredded cheese as you desire,
4. This needs to be mixed in either with a big spatula or big wooden spoon, can mix with hands but be careful hamb. may still be warm , which is good, It helps soften the chips.
5. SERVE amount desired indiviually on cute little mexican dishes and top with sour cream and chopped green onions, and or more salsa..Is a beautful looking dish and so scrumptious...
6. variation to this can be refried beans heated up into hamburger mix or added to the side dish , either way you like it...
7. You can play with it come up with your own or you can use mine we love it...Enjoy.
8. *seems like a long recipe but its really not after couple times*
