Molten Spiced Chocolate Cabernet Cakes |

This recipe from uses Saigon cinnamon from their gourmet collection. Luscious! Ingredients:
4 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate |
1/2 cup butter |
1 tablespoons cabernet sauvignon or other wine |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup confectioners' sugar |
2 large eggs |
1 large egg yolk |
6 tablespoons flour |
1/4 teaspoon saigon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
Directions:
1. Butter four 6-ounce custard cups. 2. Place on baking sheet. 3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. 4. Combine chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on high for 1 minute OR until butter is melted. 5. Whisk until chocolate is completely melted. 6. Stir in wine, vanilla and sugar until blended. 7. Whisk in eggs and yolk. 8. Stir in remaining ingredients. 9. Spoon evenly into prepared dishes. 10. Bake for 15 minutes OR until sides are firm but centers are soft. 11. Remove from oven. 12. Let stand 1 minute. 13. Loosen edges with knife. 14. Invert onto serving plates. 15. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired. |
