Molten Spiced Chocolate Cabernet Cakes |

Rich, gooey cake that is a perfect serving size when you want something warm and chocolatey. From Gourmet Nov 2008 Ingredients:
4 ounces semisweet baking chocolate (i just used chocolate chips) |
1/2 cup butter |
1 tablespoon cabernet sauvignon wine |
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract |
1 cup powdered sugar |
2 eggs |
1 egg yolk |
6 tablespoons flour |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. 2. Butter 4 6oz. custard cups or souffle dishes. Place on baking sheet. 3. Microwave chocolate and butter in large bowl on high for 1 minute or until butter is melted. Whisk until chocolate is completely melted. 4. Stir in wine, vanilla, and sugar until blended. 5. Whisk in eggs and yolk. 6. Stir in remaining ingredients. 7. Spoon evenly unto prepared dishes. 8. Bake in pre-heated oven for 15 minutes or until sides are firm and centers are soft. Let stand 1 minute. Loosedn edges with knife. invert onto serving plate. 9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
