Molho cru (muhl-CREW) is a Portuguese condiment served mainly with fish. This dish gets better with age. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups diced onion |
3/4 cup water |
1/2 cup cider vinegar |
3/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper |
1/4 teaspoon saffron threads |
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley |
1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl; cover and chill at least 24 hours. Stir in parsley and cilantro just before serving. |
