Delicious, healthy, quick bread made with Blackstrap Molasses which is a Good Source of Potassium, Iron and Magnesium. Ingredients:
3 cups whole wheat flour |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup walnuts, chopped |
3/4 cup molasses, blackstrap (brer rabbit) |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, mix all ingredients 2. Blend well 3. Pour into a greased 9 X 5 loaf pan 4. Bake at 350 for about an hour 5. Cool slightly 6. Turn out onto wire rack to cool completely 7. Delicious for breakfast |
