Here is another cookie recipe that from Crosby Molasses, it's one of the old-time recipes , and so reminicent of the cookies that Mom use to make when I was young!! Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs, well beaten |
1/2 cup molasses |
1 3/4 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 cups rolled oats |
1 cup seeded raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually. Blend in eggs and molasses. Sift flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Add rolled oats. Stir into the shortening mixture. Mix in chopped raisins. Drop by teaspoon on a greased cooking sheet. 2. Bake at 375F for approximately 10 minutes. |
