This garlicky tasty sauce can be poured over seafood, meats and also as a dip for tostones (plantain fritters). I found it online . Ingredients:
1 green bell pepper, chopped |
4 teaspoons crushed garlic |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1/4 cup olive oil |
1 cup tomato sauce |
5 leaves recao or 1/2 cup cilantro leaf, chopped |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
1 1/2 cups water |
4 teaspoons salt |
4 ounces capers |
1 ounce vinegar |
1 (4 ounce) can roasted red peppers |
Directions:
1. In medium pan, add oil and saute peppers and onions. 2. Add remaining ingredients, except tomato sauce, and cook for 5 minutes. 3. Add tomato sauce. 4. Serve! |
