From Kid's Great Tasting Snacks Ingredients:
3 tablespoons margarine, softened |
2 tablespoons light brown sugar |
1/4 cup molasses |
1 egg white |
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup sweetened applesauce |
Directions:
1. Beat margarine and sugar until well blended 2. beat in molasses and egg white. 3. Combine dry ingredients 4. add to wet, alternately with applesauce mixing well after each addition. 5. Bake in a 350 degree F oven in a greased 8 inch baking pan 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick in center comes out clean. 6. Cool and cut into squares, frost if desired. |
