A Joan Nathan recipe. Ingredients:
1/2 lb mushroom, chopped |
1 small onion, chopped |
3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon water |
Directions:
1. Saute' the mushrooms and onion in the vegetable oil over a medium heat. 2. until the onion is clear. 3. Turn into a blender or food processor, add the walnuts, salt and. 4. pepper, and the water. Process until blended but not too smoothly. Serve. 5. as a spread with matzah. |
