This is a recipe I used to make when I would visit my sister's home because my nieces and nephew loved these. If you don't hurry and grab one, they are gone. Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter |
4 cups old fashioned oatmeal |
1/4 cup karo syrup |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup peanut butter |
1 tsp vanilla |
topping |
1 pkg (6oz) chocolate chips |
1 pkg (6oz) butterscotch chips |
1/4 cup peanut butter |
1 cup roasted peanuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Melt butter. Mix next 5 ingredients well and pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. 2. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool. 3. Meanwhile, melt chocolate and butterscotch chips. Add peanut butter and peanuts. 4. Spread on cooled crust. Refrigerate until firm and then cut into squares. |
