From Darlene Kossman; very old recipe. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 cup flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
5 egg whites |
Directions:
1. Scald milk. 2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together three times. 3. Beat egg whites until stiff. 4. Add milk to flour mixture. 5. Fold in stiff egg whites. 6. Bake in moderate oven, 360 degrees Fahrenheit, for 32 minutes or until done; invert. |
