MOCHA VELVET PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Massey Estate in Malakoff, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
8 pie shell |
1/2 cup butter |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 square unsweetened chocolate melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1-1/2 tablespoons instant coffee grounds |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup cream for whipping |
Directions:
1. Prepare pastry shell. 2. Cream butter in medium bowl then gradually add sugar and cream well. 3. Cool melted chocolate then blend into butter sugar mixture with instant coffee. 4. Add eggs one at a time beating very well after each addition. 5. Turn into baked pastry shell and chill 2 hours. 6. Just before serving top with whipped cream. |
