Recipe courtesy of Better Homes & Gardens Cookies Cookbook 1975. These require a cookie press. Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine, softened |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons instant coffee granules/crystals |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
semi-sweet chocolate, melted |
finely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg and vanilla 2. Stir together flour, coffee, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt; slowly blend into creamed mixture 3. Using star plate, force through cookie press in 3-inch strips on ungreased cookie sheet 4. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 - 12 minutes 5. Cool. Dip one end of each cookie in chocolate then coat with nuts. 6. Makes 6 1/2 dozen. 7. ************************************************* 8.
