From Bon Apetite magazine. These chewy,chocolatey brownies don't stay around long. Ingredients:
nonstick vegetable oil spray. |
8oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate-chopped |
3/4 cup unsalted butter |
2 cups sugar |
6 large eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 teaspoon instant espresso powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup sour cream |
3/4 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan or dish with vegetable oil spray. Set aside. 3. In a small saucepan, combine butter and chocolate. Stir over low heat until melted. Cool to lukewarm. 4. Using an electric mixer,beat 2 cups sugar,eggs,and vanilla in a medium bowl for 5 minutes or until fluffy. 5. Add chocolate mixture. Beat until blended. 6. Add flour and next 3 ingredients. Stir in sour cream and nuts. 7. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Do not overbake. 8. Cool completely and cut into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. |
