This recipe is great as a snack or appetizers. Serve with chutney (mint, coriander) and ketchup. Compliments masala chai well. Enjoy! See for more! Ingredients:
1 cup chopped, fresh spinach |
1/2 cup onion, cut in 1/2 pieces |
1/2 cup potato, peeled and cut in 1/2 small pieces |
1 tsp ajwain seeds (carom seeds) |
1/2 cup water |
1 cup besan /chickpea flour |
1.5 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp red chillies |
other |
2 cups oil for frying |
one wok like shallow pan for frying |
one big mixing bowl |
Directions:
1. 1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a big bowl 2. 2. Add 2 cups oil to wok 3. 3. Set to medium heat and proceed to step 4 after oil is ready for frying 4. 4. Using a long spoon put 1 tbsp of the vegetable mixture into the oil to fry; turning frequently 5. Note: Depending on the size of your wok, 10-12 Pakoras can be fried at the same time 6. 5.
