Easy to make wonderfully rich chocolate marshmallow cake a real crowd pleaser Ingredients:
1/3 cup of cocoa |
1 1/2 cups of flour |
2 cups of sugar |
pinch of salt |
2 sticks of butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
4 eggs |
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans |
icing |
1 bag of mini marshmallows |
1 box confectioners' sugar |
1/3 cup of cocoa |
1 stick of butter |
1/3 cup of milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Mix together cocoa, flour, sugar, and salt (set aside) 3. In mixing bowl cream together butter, eggs, then add vanilla, and pecans 4. blend flour mixture with butter mixture by hand until completely mixed. 5. pour batter into a greased casserole dish. 6. bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes 7. remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows over the top. 8. return cake to oven for another 10 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted. 9. remove and cool. 10. While cake cools 11. cream 1 box of confectioner's sugar, 1/3 cup of cocoa, 1 stick of butter, and 1/3 cup of milk until frosting is creamy. 12. Spread over cooled cake 13. cut into squares and serve. 14. enjoy |
