From the MINUTE tapioca box. fresh or frozen peaches, MINUTE tapioca, sugar, lemon juice, margarine cvt Ingredients:
4 cups fresh or frozen peaches |
1/4 cup minute tapioca |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 tbsp lemon juice |
1 tbsp margarine |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix fruit, tapioca, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl; let stand 15 minutes. 2. Fill pastry-lined pie plate with fruit mixture. Dot with margarine. Cover pie with a top crust; seal and flute edges. Cut several slit to permit steam escape. Bake for 1 hour or until juices form bubbles that burst slowly. Cool. 3. Variation: For a golden top crust, brush with beaten egg before baking. |
