A Mauritania appetizer, it could become a complete luncheon entree. It can also be served on slender cupped endive leaves and omitting the bread. Ingredients:
8 ounces tuna, drained |
4 teaspoons vegetable oil |
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh mint leaves, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice |
4 slices white bread |
Directions:
1. Mash together all ingredients except bread to make a paste. 2. Serve on bread. 3. Serve chilled. |
