1 lb pear, halved |
1 lemon, juice of |
1/2 cup sugar or 1/4 cup honey |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh spearmint |
Directions:
1. Peal pears and poach in water and lemon juice. Drain, reserving 1 cup of the liquid. 2. Combine the liquid with sugar or honey and heat until sugar dissolves. 3. Add mint and simmer 10 minutes. Pour hot liquid over pears. Cool. |
