A refreshing beverage served at the historic Chatwood Inn at Hillsborough, NC Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water |
mint leaf, handful |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 1/2 cups lemon juice |
8 (28 ounce) bottles ginger ale |
fresh mint sprig, for garnish |
Directions:
1. Heat water & pour over mint leaves. Dissolve sugar in hot water. Steep 30 minutes to 2 hours. Strain out leaves. Add lemon juice & ginger ale when ready to serve. Pour over ice with a sprig of mint in each glass. |
