Tea was introduced to Morocco in the 19th century by British traders returning from Asia. This tea is quite sweet.
Ingredients:
4 cups water
4 teaspoons green tea (loose)
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup fresh mint leaves
Directions:
1. Pour water into a 2-quart glass bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes until just boiling. Little bubbles will appear on the water surface.
2. Add sugar, tea and mint leaves. Cover with a lid or plate and let steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir gently.
3. Pour tea through a sieve into glasses.
