Minnesota Maize Casserole |

Adapted from a boring hominy casserole recipe and named for the state in which we lived when we first tried the dish! We love it at Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. Ingredients:
2 lbs 2 cans yellow hominy |
8 ounces mushrooms |
10 ounces celery soup |
1 cup ground almonds or 1 cup pecans |
1/2 lb butter |
1 1/2 cups top cream or 1 1/2 cups canned milk |
salt and pepper |
4 pieces crumbled toast |
Directions:
1. Mix together all above ingredients. 2. Bake at 350 30-40 minutes. |
