Warm ,comforting cheese appetizer. They freeze well. Ingredients:
2c coarsely grated gruyere or jarlsberg cheese |
2 eggs beaten |
1c heavy cream |
2tsp dijon mustard |
1/2tsp paprika |
gr.white pepper,to taste |
45 small phylo dough tart cups |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. 2. In a large bowl,combine the cheese,eggs and cream. 3. Mix in the mustard,paprika and pepper. 4. Arrange phylo tart cups on a rimed baking sheet. Use a small spoon to fill each three-quarters full with the cheese mixture. 5. Bake till the mixture is golden brown and set at the center,about 20 mins. 6. Tarts can be served warm or room temperature. They also can be cooled,placed in zip-loc plastic bags and frozen. Reheat at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. |
