One of my favorite recipes... you can fill them with your favorite ingredients... here is one of my fillings Ingredients:
dough |
2 cups all pusposeflour |
1 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup shortenng or butter |
5 to 6tablespoons cold water |
filling |
3 large eggs |
1cup cream |
1cup milk |
salt , pepper and nutmeg |
1 chopped green onion |
1/2 cup sliced mushroms |
bacon , chopped and roasted |
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Dough for Pie Crust 2. Preheat oven at 375 F. 3. In food processor with knife blade attached, measure flour, shortening and salt., process 1 to 2 seconds until mixture form fine crumbs. Add cold water, process 1, to 2 seconds until dough forms on blades. Remove dough rom bowl; with hands, shape dough into ball. 4. Line each pie pan and bake for about 15 - 20 minutes. 5. Filling 6. While crust is baking, saute the onion, mushroms and add bacon. 7. Spoon to Fill each mini pie crust . 8. In the blender mix eggs, cream , milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg. 9. Pour over each mini quiche and spread grated Parmesan cheese over each one. See Photo 10. Bake for about 25 – 30 minuts and ready! 11. Serve warm. |
