Easy and yummy cocktail cheese toasts for your entertaining. Ingredients:
1/2 lb extra sharp cheddar cheese,cut in 1/2 cubes |
2 slices bacon,coarsely chopped |
1 small white onion,coarsely chopped |
1 loaf cocktail rye or pumpernickel bread,sliced 1/4 thick |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.In a food processor,combine cheese,bacon and onion.Process till a smooth paste forms and transfer to bowl. 2. Arrange cocktail bread slices on 2 rimmed baking sheets. Bake till crisp but not browned. Remove from oven,cool completely. 3. Heat broiler. Top each toast with 2 Tbs cheese mixture. Broil till topping is lightly browned.,about 4 mins. |
