I used wholewheat vegetable flavored pasta. Cook pasta on the side and serve al dente. Doing this slows down the metabolism of the pasta in your system and also makes it more chewy Ingredients:
20 oz diced tomato |
3 cups mixed vegetables |
1 cup diced onion |
1 tbsp garlic |
8 cups beef stock |
1 1/2 cups kidney beans |
1/2 cup celery |
16 oz beef |
4 oz pasta |
1/2 tsp basil |
Directions:
1. dice up onion and celery and garlic. Add to crockpot with all of the ingredients except the pasta. 2. Add one bay leaf and cook on high for 6 hours 3. Boil water and cook pasta al dente 4. Fill bowls with soup and add a small bit of pasta to each 5. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese before serving 6. OR brown stew meat, saute onion and celery in a pot. Add the remaining ingredients besides the pasta and bring to boil. Simmer for about 1.5 hours on the stove. Cook pasta al dente and follow remaining directions. |
