This is such an interesting and flavorful dessert bar, that I'm sure everyone will enjoy - them mandarin oranges just seem to make the deal as far as I m concerned!! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon natural bran |
1/2 cup rolled oats |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup butter, room temperature |
1 1/2 cups mincemeat |
finely grated peel of one orange |
1 pinch cinnamon |
1 (10 ounce) can mandarin orange segments |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F Grease a 9-inch square pan. 2. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in oats, bran and sugar, Work in butter with a fork until crumbly. press into pan. 3. Stir in mincemeat with peel and cinnamon. Spread over base. 4. Drain mandarin oranges, gently press into mincemeat. 5. Bake 40 minutes. Cool and refrigerate. |
