This very simple pie was a favorite in my step-dad's home. Mimi is his daughter and was given this recipe by her mom. I have tried different variations, ie putting it in a chocolate graham cracker crust, adding his favorite (cherry)pie filling. Whatever I've done, he loves! So, from our house to yours........... enjoy! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
8 ounces softened cream cheese |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 pint sour cream |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs until smooth. 2. Add softened cream cheese, sugar and 1 tsp. 3. vanilla. 4. Pour into graham cracker crust (graham crackers mixed with melted butter or store bought). 5. Bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes or until it doesn't shake. 6. Cool 5 minutes Combine the sour cream, sugar and 1 tsp. 7. vanilla. 8. Pour on top of cooled pie. 9. Bake for another 5 minutes. 10. Refrigerate for up to 4 hours. |
