Herbal vinegars make good marinades. Also try this with oil as a different flavored salad dressing. This also makes a pretty gift. Ingredients:
1 quart white wine vinegar |
1/4 cup dried lemon peel |
3 sprigs fresh oregano |
2 sprigs fresh mint |
1 cinnamon stick |
cinnamon stick (optional) |
Directions:
1. Pour vinegar over herbs. Cover tightly and steep 2-3 weeks. 2. Strain into decorative bottle. Add a cinnamon stick for decoration. |
