My husband wanted burgers and I wanted something a little more interesting, so I came up with this little gem last night! You won't be dissapointed! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
2 garlic cloves, mashed |
1 small onion, minced |
1 egg |
1/4 cup pine nuts |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon mint leaf |
1/2 lemon, juice of |
salt and pepper |
3/4 cup hummus |
6 pita bread or 6 nan breads |
2 -3 tablespoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. Combine ground beef, egg, onion, garlic, nuts, lemon juice and spices in a large bowl. 2. Form patties and fry over medium-high heat until cooked through (about 10-15 minutes). 3. Serve in naan and top with hummus, and if you're feeling adventurous, a little chili oil to spice it up! |
