This is a super quick recipe that tastes like it took hours to make.This makes for a caramel corn with a great crunchy glaze and it only gets sticky if it gets condensation on it so make sure it thoroughly cook before you bag it. Ingredients:
3 1/2 quarts popped corn |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1/4 cup light corn syrup |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Blend the last 4 ingredients on high for 30 seconds, stir, bring to a full boil - cooking approx 2 minutes. Then stir in the baking soda until well dissolved. 2. Put the popcorn in a large paper grocery bag, add nuts if desired. Pour the syrup over the popcorn in the bag, roll up bag and shake. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Shake then place on a cookie sheet to cool. |
