A sweet and easy monkey bread made in the microwave. I haven't tried it yet but wanted to post it for safekeeping. This one is from an old Hawaiian Electric Company cookbook. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
3 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon water |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Separate biscuits and cut into quarters. In a 5-cup microwave tube pan, combine brown sugar, butter and water. Microwave on high power for 1 minute. Stir in nuts. 2. Add biscuit pieces and coat with sugar mixture; arrange evenly in pan. 3. Rotating pan 1/2 turn after 2 minutes, microwave on medium high power for 5 minutes. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes before serving. |
