About 18 months ago I decided that I needed to know how to make shortbread. One friend gave me a recipe but it wasn't very specific about some of the ingredients and didn't turn out very well. When I mentioned this to Leggy Peggy she gave me this recipe and told me that it is foolproof; and it is. It's very easy and turns out beautifully every time. So enjoy your shortbread. Ingredients:
4 cups plain flour |
4 tablespoons of ground rice flour |
1 cup icing sugar |
1 lb butter |
1 pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Thoroughly sift dry ingredients. 2. melt the butter and add it to the dry ingredients. 3. mix well and press into a pan. 4. bake at 325–350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25–30 minutes. |
