Easy, rich, not too spicy hot sauce recipe patterned from the Mexico Chiquito restaurant in North Little Rock, AR. Our family's fave restaurant for over 50 years! Ingredients:
1 large 32 ounce hunt's whole tomatoes |
1 large fresh jalapeno pepper, cut top off |
3-5 cloves garlic, smashed |
1/2 -2 teaspoons salt, or salt to your taste |
Directions:
1. In food processor puree whole pepper, garlic, and salt into a paste 2. In blender puree tomatoes taking care to not LIQUEFY! 3. Put both mixtures into a bowl and stir to blend 4. Put in refrigerator for a few hours to serve cold with hot tortilla chips 5. Keeps for a good while in the fridge or sterilize and can if you like |
