A delicious spicy beef soup. Great on a cold winter day. Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger |
1 diced onion |
1 1/2 cups chopped celery |
2 cups frozen corn |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 tablespoon beef bouillon (powder) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
6 cups water |
1 cup salsa |
1 cup penne pasta (or other macaroni) |
Directions:
1. * Fry hamburger in large pot, drain off fat. 2. * Add celery and onion, cook over medium/low heat until tender. 3. * Add corn and seasonings, cook 10 minutes. 4. * Add salsa and water, heat to a boil. 5. * Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. 6. * Stir in penne, cook until tender. 7. * Ladle into soup bowl and top with shredded cheese. |
