I brought it to a party, and it was a HUGE hit. Ingredients:
3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice |
2 teaspoons garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/2 teaspoon taco seasoning |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup tomato sauce |
2 cups chicken broth |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. 2. Add rice and cook, stirring constantly. 3. Sprinkle with salt, cumin, and taco seasoning. 4. Cook stirring constantly, until slightly translucent (about 10 min). 5. Stir in onions and cook until tender. 6. Stir in tomato sauce and chicken broth; bring to a boil. 7. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. 8. Fluff with a fork. |
