My son-in-law loved this when it was served as an appetizer at a local Mexican restaurant. Since there are only two ingredients, it wasn't hard to figure out how to make it at home. Fast and easy and only four or five steps. (One more if you count looking for the jar opener.) (If the jalapenos in your store are in a different-sized jar, don't worry about it. Amounts aren't critical in this.) Ingredients:
1 lb queso fresco or 1 lb queso blanco |
1 (10 ounce) jar pickled jalapeno peppers |
Directions:
1. 1. Open the package of cheese and cut it into 3/4-1 inch cubes. 2. 2. Place the cheese into a container with a lid. 3. 3. Find the jar opener and open the jar of jalapeno slices. 4. 4. Pour jalapenos over cheese and stir a little. 5. 5. Cover and refrigerate overnight. |
