This is a great dinner that is also a dip. My mom passed this on to me. Ingredients:
1 (30 ounce) can refried beans |
1 1/8 lbs hamburger |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies |
1 -2 cup cheese, grated |
thick & chunky salsa |
tortilla chips |
sour cream (optional) |
guacamole (optional) |
olive (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cook the hamburger and onions. 2. Use two deep pie dishes (or casserole dished work to). Spread the refried beans for a crust (half in each). 3. Divide hamburger and sprinkle on beans. 4. Spread green chillies. 5. Spread cheese on top. 6. Spread salsa. 7. Bake 30 minutes at 350°F. 8. Optional: Spread sour cream on top and top with guacamole and olives. 9. Serve with tortilla chips. |
