The simplest recipes are often the best. An extremely simple, flavorful appetizer dip (or spread on toasted rounds). Disclaimer: If you like olives and tomatoes, this is habit forming stuff. Ingredients:
1 small can chopped black olives |
1 small can green chilies |
3-4 green onions (scallions), chopped fine |
2 large ripe tomatoes, chopped fine |
3 tbl. extra virgin olive oil |
1 1/2 tsp. red wine vinegar |
1 tsp. garlic salt |
salt, pepper and tobasco to taste. |
Directions:
1. Combine well, all ingredients in a bowl. 2. Cover bowl and let chill in refrigerator for no less than 30 minutes. The longer it chills the better the flavor. 3. Serve with your favorite corn chips. |
